Beehive Software releases Art AlaCarte - the first Shopping Cart System designed specially to handle online transactions that involve file transfers. The Art AlaCarte Shopping Cart is perfect for printers that want to automatically handle credit cards as they receive files for imaging. Typical online products include letterhead, envelopes, business cards, postcards, flyers, color copies, transparencies, greeting cards, photo duplication and other commodity products. The Beehive Art AlaCarte system can dramatically increase the number of transactions that can be processed by a commercial printer and allows printers to begin to market new services aggressively via the Internet.

Art AlaCarte is a Powerful Product Catalog and Shopping Cart System. Beehive Software builds a product catalog (part number, description, prices, etc.) from simple information supplied as an Excel spreadsheet (just update the Excel spreadsheet and the catalog can be updated). Art AlaCarte supports all standard shopping cart functions including - add to cart, remove from cart, proceed to checkout, order tracking, re-order etc. Art AlaCarte has an Integrated Credit Card Processing gateway that allows customers to process credit cards with a deposit directly to the merchant's bank account.

Art AlaCarte is the first Shopping Cart system that has embedded SECURE File Transfer. Unlike other systems which treat file transfer as an afterthought, this system is built on top of the Beehive/Sendfile Secure file transfer system. File transfer is designed into the shopping cart workflow and is secured with the same Https SSL-secure transport protocol as the credit card processing gateway.

Art AlaCarte has a browser-based administration interface - Customers, Orders, Products and even Html can be viewed, and edited online with an administrator's password. The system also has a wide variety of predefined printable reports available and since the underlying database is SQL, custom reports may be quickly written with the SQL report generation tool.

Art AlaCarte is priced at $3995 which includes the creation of custom html. A Beehive systems engineer will help the merchant create the Catalog "look and feel" they desire. Two months of systems maintenance is included in the base price and an ongoing monthly maintenance option is available for $195/mo. Art AlaCarte runs on top of the Beehive SSL-secure File transfer Appliance which contains all of the Beehive file transfer clients for Macintosh, Windows and Browser users.
